TEAMS & PERFORMANCE COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference
This committee is responsible for:
- Policy Recommendations.
- The selection of teams at all ages. (to appoint a Chairman and specific Selection Panels as appropriate, e.g. Boy’s/ Girls’ Selectors, Men’s/ Ladies’ Selectors, Senior Selectors).
- To recommend future Captain’s to the GUW Board.
- To recommend in which events National Teams and individuals should participate.
- The elite coaching of players of all ages.
- To liaise with County Unions regarding Junior Coaching Schemes.
- The Girl’s Development Program.
- Individual player development and sports science measures.
- The appointment of National Coaches and Advisors.
- Measuring Individual Performance of players.
- The Order of Merit.
- An input into the choice of venues for International Matches.
- Inviting the Golf Union of Wales nominated R & A Selectors/ LGU International Selector to meetings when thought necessary.
This committee would liaise with:
Elite Cymru
R & A Selection Panel
National Coaches
Clubs hosting Order of Merit events.
