BOULDEN 2nd AT ROYAL BIRKDALE
Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) finished in 2nd place at the Royal Birkdale Ladies Scratch Trophy with scores of 70 and 72 for an 8 under par total of 142. Boulden lost out by stroke to England’s Charlotte Wild. Boulden collects 60 PING points.
Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) who has chased Boulden in the Ping Order of Merit all summer finished in a tie for 5th on four under par after rounds of 72 and 74 and collects 23.5 PING points to finish in 2nd place on the Order of Merit table.
Chloe Williams (Wrexham) had another good tournament scoring rounds of 74 and 74 to finish on 2 under par and in a tie for 8th and adds 15.33 points to her total and finish the season in 7th place.

an excellent series of results that has helped her gain selection for the GB&I ladies team in the Astor and Vagliano Trophies and has culminated in selection for Europe at the Junior Solheim Cup that is being played

BOULDEN 4th AT BRITISH LADIES’ OPEN STROKE PLAY
Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) finished 4th in her effort to win the British Ladies Open Stroke Play Championship at the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club. Boulden scored rounds of 73, 76, 75 and 73 to finish on 9 over par, 9 strokes adrift of winner Leona Maguire of Ireland.
Boulden was the only Welsh player to make the cut and collects 160 PING points. Boulden’s position at the top of the PING Ladies Order of Merit is unassailable with only one event remaining.
HARRIES 4th AT ENGLISH WOMENS OPEN STROKE PLAY
Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) continued her excellent season with a 4th place finish at the English Women’s Open Stroke Play at Alwoodley Golf Club. Harries scored rounds of 73, 70, 77 and 75 to finish as the top Welsh player and collect 130 PING points.
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) was the only other Welsh player to make the cut finishing in a tie for 25th on 307 strokes after rounds of 77, 75, 79 and 76 to collect 50 PING points.
BOULDEN 17th AT EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL
Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) finished in a creditable tie for 17th at the European Ladies Individual Championship at Noordwijkse Golf Club, Holland. Boulden shot rounds of 76, 76, 79 and 77 and collects 69.5 PING points.
Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) was the only other Welsh player to make the cut and finished in a tie for 51st after rounds of 79, 78, 80 and 81 and collects 50 PING points.
BACK TO BACK WINS FOR O’CONNOR
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) stepped into the winner’s enclosure for the 2nd time in a week with a one stroke victory at the Pleasington Putter. O’Connor recorded rounds of 74 and 71 to take the title following up on last week’s win at the Bridget Jackson Bowl.
O’Connor collects 100 PING points and now moves into 2nd place on the PING Ladies Order of Merit.
O’CONNOR WINS BRIDGET JACKSON
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) continued her good form with a win at the Bridget Jackson Bowl for the second time. O’Connor’s round of 68 and 70 gave her a five stroke victory over Elizabeth Haycock of Moseley. O’Connor collects 100 PING points and moves into 3rd place on the PING Ladies Order of Merit.
Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) finished in a tie for 9th following rounds of 74 and 75 and collects 14.5 PING points while Lucy Gould (Bargoed) and Sam Birks (Wolstanton) share 11th place and collect 12.5 PING points each.
Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) remains at the top of the PING Ladies Order of Merit.
O’CONNOR 11th AT IRISH STROKE PLAY
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) finished in a tie for 11th at the Irish Open Stroke Play Championship at Elm Park Golf Club with rounds of 75, 77 and 78. O’Connor collects 59 PING points and moves into 4th place on the PING Order of Merit.
Anna Carling (Vale of Glamorgan) was Wales’ only other qualifier and finished in a tie for 17th after rounds of 78, 75 and 79 and collects 50 PING points.
BOULDEN SEMIS AT BRITISH, LEWIS WIN ASTOR SALVER
Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) reached the semi finals of the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush. After qualifying in 9th position Boulden made her way through the match play stages by defeating Jess Wilcox (England) by 1 hole in round 1, then Minjee Lee (Australia) by 4/3, in the last 16 she held off Kyle Roig (USA) and then won comfortably in the quarter finals against Kim Williams (South Africa) by 5/3 before losing out to Alexandra Bonetti (France) by 4/3 in the semi finals. Boulden collects 210 PING points and goes off to the Astor Trophy to represent GB & I filled with confidence.
At the Astor Salver at the Berkshire Golf Club, Rachel Lewis (Llanishen) tied for 1st with Charlotte Ellis of Minchinhampton with rounds of 70 and 71. This was Lewis’ first Ladies Order of Merit victory and she collects 80 PING points.
The West of England Open Ladies at Bath Golf Club was cancelled due to the weather conditions.

O’CONNOR TIED 7TH AT CRITCHLEY SALVER
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) was Wales’ top finished at the Critchley Salver at Sunningdale. O’Connor finished on a two round total of 153 and collects 16 PING points.
Becky Harries stays at the top of the PING Ladies Order of Merit.
HARRIES WINS WELSH CLOSE
Becky Harries (Havefordwest) defeated Amy Boulden (Llandidno, Maesdu) on the final hole to claim the Welsh Ladies Close Championship at Royal St David’s, Harelch. Harries collects 150 PING points for claiming the title while runner up Boulden collects 90 PING points.
In the semi finals, Harries defeated Wrexham’s Jo Nicholson while Boulden defeated Rachel Lewis (Llanishen). Nicholson and Lewis both collect 70 PING points.
At a weather shortened St Rule Trophy in St Andrews, Gemma Bradbury was Wales’ top finisher tying for 5th place and collects 47 PING points. Sunday’s play at the St Rule was called off due to 50 mph winds that buffeted the course.
Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) and Laura Watkins (Bicester) each collected 19.33 PING points after finishing in a tie for 6th at the Frilford Heath Scratch Salver while Becky Harries and Lucy Gould (Bargoed) shared 9th place.

GOULD 2nd AT WELSH OPEN STROKE PLAY
Lucy Gould (Bargoed) led the Welsh challenge at the Welsh Ladies Open Stroke Play at Tenby finishing one behind winner; Charley Hull (Woburn). It was a good weekend for the Welsh players with Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) finishing 3rd and Chloe Williams (Wrexham) and Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) sharing 4th place.
Gould collects 150 PING points to take over at the top of the PING Ladies Order of Merit, while Amy Boulden moves back to 2nd place.
Gould shot rounds of 77, 74 and 75 in the testing conditions at Tenby and came home with a string of birdies at 13, 16 and 17.
Chloe Williams and Becky Harries shot of 78, 76, 76 and 76, 76, 78 respectively to collect 70 PING points each.
At the Whittington Heath Ladies Trophy Sam Birks (Wolstanton) was the best placed Welsh player finishing in 4th place after rounds of 74 and 71 to collect 30 PING points.
FOUR MAKE CUT AT HELEN HOLM
Four Welsh players made the cut at the Scottish Ladies Open Stroke Play for the Helen Holm Trophy at Troon over the weekend.
Sam Birks (Wolstanton) was the best placed finishing in a tie for 20th with scores of 75, 73 and 78 and collects 52.25 PING points. Others who made the cut were Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu) and Becky Harries (Haverfordwest) who tied for 24th and Bargoed’s Lucy Gould who tied for 60th – all collect 50 PING points.

O'CONNOR WINS AT TENBY
Katherine O'Connor (Tadmarton Heath) won the Tenby Ladies Scratch with rounds of 69 and 76 for a two round total of five under par. O'Connor's opening round of 69 gave her a five stroke lead over her nearest challenger, Amy Boulden (Llandudno, Maesdu). Although the lead was trimmed during the second round, O'Connor held off the challenge of Boulden to win by two strokes. Boulden's rounds of 74 and 73 ensured 2nd place. O'Connor collects 100 PING points to lead the table while Boulden collects 60 points.
In third place came the trio of Gemma Bradbury (Cottrell Park), Chloe Williams (Wrexham) and Hannah Grant (Enmore Park).
GOULD AND O'CONNOR 13th AT LEVERET
Lucy Gould (Bargoed) and Katherine O’Connor (Tadmarton Heath) were Wales’ top finishers at the Formby Leveret at the weekend but both failed to score any PING Ladies Order of Merit points. Gould scored rounds of 74 and 73 for a tie of 13th place while O’Connor scored rounds of 75 and 73 to tie 16th.
Sam Birks (Wolstanton) scored rounds of 73 and 76 to finish in a tie for 19th.
